This view across a bridge across a Ballona Creek channel, is close enough to see details of the decorative railing. A portion of the bank that was left natural by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers slopes up to the oil wells of the Venice oil field, located south of Venice, in what is modern day Marina del Rey.
