The Greenwich Village theatre enjoyed only a brief 13-year lifespan demolished in 1930, it was replaced a year later with the two-story taxpayer that occupies the site today (the Great Depression likely played a role in derailing the original plans to replace the theatre with a 19-story apartment house)
