Hamburg
A column of British armored vehicles on Mönckebergstrasse in central Hamburg. On May 3, 1945, after the surrender of German troops in Hamburg, parts of the British army entered the city center. Hamburg residents were forbidden to go out on this day. In the foreground are the light armored personnel carriers of the Universal Carrier of the 7th Armored Division (7th Armored Division). In the frame is the bell tower of St. Petri Church (St. Petri, also Petrikirche). 05/03/1945 The author seems to have made a mistake with the church, there is no way to get to it on the indicated street, so either the street should be different or it’s spiers church of st. Peter away.
