1/8/1951-New York, NY: Under the almost benevolent scrutiny of the majestic skyline of New York, skaters of all sizes, shapes and callings send their blades crunching over the ice at the Wollman Rink in Central Park, Jan. 8. The seasonal cold snap and the below-freezing temperatures brought the skaters out in force.
