The chapel dates from the time of the late Empire in 1840 year. Initially the chapel was located on the site of today's intersection in front of the primary school ZŠ kpt. Jaroše, where her place was another stone chapel, which goes back to 1507. In the early 20th century the location of the chapel hampered heavy traffic, so the November 7, 1912 Trutnovsky City Council decided to move it to a less busy roads. In the same year the chapel was actually dismantled and moved to a construction company Eduarda Salomona about fifty meters below the hospital at the intersection of today's street Maxima Gorkého a Pod chmelnicí.
