Women employees (and one gentleman) of the South Lake Apopka Citrus Growers Association are seen c. 1925 posing in front of the boarding house that once stood along the south side of the curve on Brick Road in Tildenville teachers also boarded here. Brick Road is the last intact remnant of Highway 22, the road that stretched from Indian River City to Clermont. State Road 50 eventually rendered it obsolete. The structure was later the home of Rusty Hannon. It no longer stands, though the overgrown, fenced-off area still features remnants of the stone piers that supported the structure.
