The first version of the fountain on the site was built by Jean Goujon at the initiative of Francis I in 1529 Over time, its technical condition and appearance had deteriorated and needed repair. And in 1776, under the direction of Jacques-Germain Soufflot created a new fountain that is shown in this photo, and there is still por.V 2002 restored fountain.
