Aerial view of the Tidewater Oil Co. building construction site, located at 4201 Wilshire Boulevard view is looking slightly northwest. Wilshire Boulevard horizontally at middle Crenshaw Boulevard is lower left to middle Bronson Avenue is bottom left to middle, and Norton Avenue is bottom right corner. The street paralleling Wilshire at top is 6th Street. The architects for Tidewater Oil Co. are Claude Beelman and Associates with Bethlehem Pacific - steel frame fabricators and builders and C.L. Peck Construction and Realty Co. - general contractors. Near the lower right corner are the Los Altos Apartments and Perino's. Photograph was taken for Pioneer Flintkote. Photograph dated October 29, 1958. When completed, the white marble office building (center) housed the headquarters for Getty Oil and came to be known as the Harbor Building.
