Barrière d'Enfer - is paired buildings, which once served as a gateway to the farmers through the wall (Mur des Fermiers généraux) on the Place Denfert-Rochereau.Nazvanie «Barrière d'Enfer» comes from the street «Rue d'Enfer» (now called " rue Denfert-Rochereau »), which leads to after crossing the rue du Faubourg Saint-Jacques.
