Church of St. Clement is one of the main attractions of the Republic of Macedonia. The presented church is located near the famous Upper Gate in the old part of the beautiful city of Orhida. The beautiful church of St. Clement was built in 1295. It should be noted that this church is one of the oldest churches in the city of Ohrid and the whole country. The Church of St. Clement was built by Palaeologas - a relative of the great Emperor Andronikas II, according to certain inscriptions that were found exactly at the western entrance to this church. The same inscription says that the church of St. Clement was dedicated to the Holy Mother. During the period when the Turkish troops were in the territory of the city of Orkhida, the presented church was converted into a mosque, after which a large number of valuable relics were lost. But over time, the church of St. Clement became the main church of the Great Cathedral of the Archbishopric of Ohrid.
