State Street, north from Bridge Street to Battery Place, showing the old "El" spur upon same. This carries the Sixth and the Ninth Avenue Elevated Lines to South Ferry. On the left is Battery Park on the right, the U. S. Custom House and in the background, the early Washington Building. Behind the latter and facing Bowling Green, is the towering Cunard Building. Broadway begins at that point. 1905
