Madison Avenue, north from 35th Street, showing transition era in the J.P. Morgan neighborhood. Preparations are already made to remove the buildings on left. They will be replaced by Marshall Field building, No. 200 Madison Avenue. The church shown in part at the extreme right is the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Incarnation. On the N.E. corner of 36th Street may be seen the Madison Avenue side of the J.P. Morgan residence, which will shortly be remodeled as an annex to the Morgan Library. On the N.E. corner of 37th Street, in front of the large apartment hotel, is the old Delmar residence, the home since 1923 of the National Democratic Club. April 1925.
