The former pumping station was put into operation in 1902 g. Utretsky water was held in Soestduinen more in 1888 first used the open tanks of water, but due to the fact that they were subjected to all sorts of external influences, this water can easily infect the parasites. To solve this problem were originally installed sand filters. However, this was not enough, and then was put into operation pumping station. This pump station is much lower than the street, because the ground was excavated to get closer to the groundwater. In the pump station a vacuum pump was installed to meet the increased demand for potable water vodu. V 1986 godu Maatschappij Central Nederland was repaired. The museum opened in the pumping station building.
