The intersection of Tildenville School Road with the West Orange Trail differs significantly from the setting shown in this 1940s photograph. The South Lake Apopka Citrus Growers Association packing house and its water tower is seen at rear, just to the south of the little Tildenville freight depot. On the right is the C. G. Tilden packing house, originally owned by his brother Luther Willis Tilden only the stone pilings remain today in the parking lot next to the Butterfly Garden. A truck is shown pumping ice into a refrigerator car hauling citrus or vegetables.
