City Theater. It is noteworthy that the Lijnbaansgracht channel reached almost the very building of the theater. In 1909, this part was blocked and drained, and Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen Square is now in its place. And the Lijnbaansgracht canal continues and goes further behind the square, to the northwest, almost to Westerpark.
