If you look at the map of the capital of Holland, then among the many canals and narrow streets this area is easy to “grab” with the naked eye. Located in the southwest of Amsterdam’s central area, it is surrounded by the Singelgracht Canal, Veteringsans, Marnikstrat and Leidsestrat Streets. Amsterdam's nightlife is concentrated here on Leidseplein, a fun-filled square in Leidseplein. Many clubs, theaters, cinemas, shops and art cafes are the main natives of this corner of Amsterdam. Until the morning, street actors, fakirs, magicians, musicians and other creative people of all stripes appear here in the open air. It is on this square that one of Amsterdam's most famous coffee shops, Bulldog Palace, is located in the building of the former police station.
