People walk the midway beside the Cyclone Racer roller coaster at The Pike amusement park south of Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach. Started in 1902, The Pike amusement park ran until 1979. The Cyclone Racer was created by Fred Church, built in 1930 by Harry Traver and was a dual-track (two trains could run at the same time), racing wooden roller coaster. It stopped operating in September 1968.
