Cary Grant, real name Archibald Alexander Leach, is a local native, film artist, known, in particular, from the films of A. Hitchcock: “Suspicion” (1941), “Notoriety” (1946), “Catch a Thief” (1955), “ To the north through the northwest "(1959). The school building of 1898 has been preserved, the school is now called Fairlawn Primary School.
