Park Avenue, south from East 61st Street, showing prominently buildings on the east side of same,viewed south westward across tho cleared west frontage that extends to 60th Street. The low structures appearing on the right are at 59th Street, the white building being the Mineola Garage and the other the old Arion Hall (erected 1887). Upon the cleared land in the foreground was erected Christ Church the balance being utilized by the Park Ave. Tennis Clubs. In 1940 the latter will be replaced by a 19 story apartment house.
