Looking southeast down 8th Street, from just west of where it crosses Garland Avenue (center). Seen are various businesses, homes, Signal and Gilmore Oil service stations, a Foster and Kleiser billboard for Nucoa margarine, a sandwich shop, a linoleum store at 1200 W. 8th Street (right of center) and Stewart's market, a liquor store (right). Photograph dated September 15, 1938. Many of the structures seen here have since been demolished.
