North British Station Hotel was opened in 1902. The clock on its tower is traditionally in a hurry of 3 minutes to give a small margin of time to passengers hurrying on trains leaving from Waverley Station. And only on one day of the year, on December 31, the clock shows the exact time. Since 1988, the hotel is called Balmoral
