Fore Street / Angel Lane 1905. At the turn of the century two public houses, the Lion and the Lamb (center left) and the Angel (center right) stood at the junction of Fore St and Angel Lane. Angel Lane (center) was later renamed Waterworks Street. To its right is St Clements Church Lane. The building extreme right is the Fore St swimming baths, opened in 1894 and still going strong.
