Vienna
one of the most famous streets of Vienna. It is located in the Inner City, it starts from the Shtok im Aisen square, which is a continuation of Stefansplatz, and ends by separating the Kolmartt and Tuchlauben streets located on the same line. Leads from St. Stephen's Cathedral to the imperial residence of Hofburg (via Colmarkt). Since the 17th century it has been considered the most elegant and most expensive street in Vienna. Graben rather resembles an elongated square, decorated with two fountains - Joseph and Leopold. Moreover, the numbering of the houses, going clockwise along the perimeter of the Graben, corresponds to the area, not the street, due to historical reasons. In the center of the street is a plague column (otherwise the Holy Trinity column), built in 1682–1692 by the architect Matthias Rauchmüller to commemorate rid Vienna of an epidemic.
