It is possible that the thick, winding white "ribbon" visible at left is the San Gabriel River, which forks into the Walnut Creek Wash at upper left, then veering right Valley Boulevard runs horizontally at upper middle the San Bernardino (10) Freeway parallels Valley Blvd farther up. Photograph dated March 11, 1957. The California Country Club property (formerly the El Dorado Club) comprises 120 acres and an 18-hole golf course designed by William F. Bell, Jr., ASGCA, featuring 6,804 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The project, which opened in 1956, represented an investment of more than $300,000 it is a private non-equity golf course. Presently (as of 2010) the address is listed as 1509 S. Workman Mill Road.
