Pictured is the entrance to the Los Angeles Country Club, one of the most beautiful and exclusive country clubs in the world, and host of the 9th Annual Los Angeles Open Golf Tournament. Police officers can be seen standing outside the entrance, possibly directing traffic, as several people mill around in front of the ticket booth. Signs read: "No parking inside. Contestants, Officials, and Members ONLY", and "Car Park FULL". Photograph dated: January 1934. The Northern Trust Open, formerly known as the Nissan Open, and originally known as the Los Angeles Open, is a regular golf tournament on the PGA Tour. This yearly event has been played at numerous golf courses in Southern California between its inauguration in 1926 to present day (2009).
