Exterior of Sinai Temple, located at 10400 Wilshire Boulevard in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. Established in 1906, Sinai Temple was the first conservative congregation in Southern California. For nearly 20 years, the congregation met in a synagogue located at 12th and Valencia Streets. A second facility, located at New Hampshire and 4th streets, was opened in 1925. That temple served the community until 1960, at which time it relocated to this structure, which was designed by Sidney Eisenshtat.
