The Kaiserhof Hotel, the largest hotel in the Baltic Spit, opened its doors in 1905. A chic establishment with a restaurant, ballroom and all the latest amenities: elevators, electric lighting, etc. etc. It was the very first building in the world, built on top of a dune. In 1918 a military hospital was located here. In the period 1940-1945. - Abwehr officers' holiday home. When the lighthouse was blown up at the end of the war, signal lights were temporarily installed on the roof of this hotel. After the war, the FWP Bałtyk workers' holiday home began in the 1970s. of the last century, the building gradually deteriorated. It was demolished in 2000. Now there is a recreated exact copy on this place (and the trees seem to have remained the same):
