The building of the Amsterdam Philharmonic is Concerthebau. Concertgebau (Dutch Concertgebouw, is a concert hall in Amsterdam. The name translates from the Netherlands simply as “concert hall.” It was built in 1883-1888 by the architect Adolf Leonard van Gendt and opened on April 11, 1888 a concert from the works of Bach, Handel, Beethoven and Wagner. Six months later, the self-titled orchestra debuted in Consertgebau, for which Consertgebau became a permanent home. The large Concertgebau Hall seats 2037 listeners, the small one has 478 seats. On the balconies of B The names of 45 composers were beaten out of the Great Hall, including 12 Dutch authors (starting with Orlando di Lasso) and major authors from different countries, including Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky.
