included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built on the site of the old bishop's house in 1864-1882 gg. Today here are located the central body of Chernivtsi National University Fedkovych. This unique architectural ensemble came into being through the efforts of Bishop Yevhen Hakman. In 1863 he obtained from the Austrian Cisar permission for the construction of a new spacious residence worthy of the capital of Bukovina. The next year, immediately after the consecration of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Hakman lord has laid the cornerstone in the foundation of the future residence.
