On the front side of the pedestal it was carved in golden letters "Empress Catherine II", on the opposite side was carved the famous motto "sloughed vozvratih" .Monument was installed in the Cathedral Square, after the means of local merchant AM Pimonova were conducted costly operation stabilization of the foundation. Grand opening of the monument took place on September 10, 1904.
