Chapel-tomb was designed by architect Robert Marfeld in 1904-1910 gg. the means of Cleopatra Svyatopolk-Mirsky and consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas. In the following years in the crypt were buried six members of the clan Svyatopolk-Mirsky. During the Second Republic, thanks to the efforts of Prince Mikhail Svyatopolk-Mirsky around the building were planted rare coniferous trees and roses. With the arrival of Soviet power, in 1938, the church property was looted. What is left, in 1940, she moved to St. George Church at the Orthodox cemetery in the world. In the postwar period in the chapel placed granary distillery. Then she has long been in ruins. (In 1993, the chapel has not yet acted.) In 2000, the chapel-tomb under the project "Mir Castle Complex" was included in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage. In 2004, restoration work was begun, which was completed by 1 December 2008, when the chapel doors were opened to the public.
