Luther Monument The monument to Martin Luther, located on Karsplatz, was designed by Adolf von Donndorf and opened on May 4, 1895, on the 374th anniversary of Luther's arrival at Wartburg Castle. The statue of Luther more than life-size on the pedestal also contains relief images of episodes of his life that led to his relocation in Aizen, as well as the name of one of his most famous hymns.
