Looking southwest from the City Hall tower at Spring and 1st streets on December 6, 1950. Seen are Bunker Hill, various commercial and office buildings, and apartment hotels. The most notable structures include the Los Angeles Times Building (lower left), the Atlantic Richfield Building (upper left) and the California State Building (lower right). Many of the structures seen here were later demolished.
