In the 16th century a drinking establishment was opened in this place in a residential building near the city wall , which has changed several names in its history. The modern building complex on Weisenstrasse was restored after the Second World War and is under state protection as an architectural monument. The restaurant building near the city wall was first documented in 1561. A drinking establishment on the ground floor the elector’s groom opened the building in 1621. Weisenstrasse is located in the Monastery Quarter, and the so-called Bull's Corner was located next to the pub until the beginning of the 19th century, bounded by the city wall and Stichstrasse, where the butchers drove cattle for the night or for slaughter. Weisenstrasse was inhabited by 2-3 families.
