In the rooms of the former café of the West on Kurfürstendamm 18-19, a branch under the name Restaurant and Konditorei Kranzler opened in 1932. After the war destruction in 1945, the company continued in 1951 in a flat building designed by Paul Schwebes. After his demolition, after Hanns Dustmann plans, a striking two-storey building with upcoming rotunda and red and white striped awning was created in 1957/58. Since the reopening in December 1958, the Café has once again been a West Berlin institution and landmark of City-West.
