Its name was Nerudova Street in 1895 in honor of the Czech writer Jan Neruda, who lived in the house “At the Two Slants” (“At Two Suns”). The street, famous for its picturesque house signs, since the 13th century. played an important role in the communication system of the Small Country, as it led to the City and went both to the Radnitsa Stairs, connecting the Small Country with the Hradcans, and to Uvoz and further to the Strahov Gate.
