Photograph caption dated August 11, 1961 reads, "Truck-car collision occurred at Burbank boulevard and Colfax avenue at 5:30 a.m. today after freakish thunder and lightning storm knocked out signal, one of scores of power failures caused by the storm in the San Fernando Valley. Truck driver James Robertson, 61, 6041 Morelia Ave., North Hollywood, was treated at Valley Doctors Hospital, North Hollywood, for a fractured shoulder. Driver of the car was Ronald Lee Costello, 18, 1440 1/2 Temple St., Los Angeles."
