Photograph article dated December 29, 1950 partially reads, "'Howdy Hody.' That brief greeting welcomes to the Valley a big, new business enterprise. It is Hody's new $400,000 restaurant at Oxnard St. and Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood. The huge combination restaurant, drive-in and cocktail lounge will open its doors tomorrow." Photograph caption reads, "This is the new $400,000 Hody Restaurant opening tomorrow at Lankershim at Oxnard - Unique interior finishing and decorations, including Sequoia Room, called outstanding in modern restaurant design."
