Looking north across the intersection of Hill and 2nd streets. From left to right, stairs that once led to Bunker Hill boardinghouses, the Los Angeles County Courthouse (later renamed the Stanley Mosk Courthouse), the Los Angeles County Hall of Administration (later renamed the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration), under construction, and the Junipero Serra State Office Building, also under construction (later demolished). Dated November 1, 1958. Designed by Stanton and Stockwell, the Junipero Serra State Office Building opened in 1960 and was in use until 1998 it was demolished in 2006 and is the site of a new Federal Courts Building. The State of California replaced its offices with the Ronald Reagan State Building, located at 300 S. Spring Street.
