One of four preserved historic lighthouses Barbados. Unlike the others, it has a fixed and non-rotating signal ogon.Vosmiugolny lighthouse was built in 1855 on the southern tip of the Gulf of Carlisle. He is currently non-functional and partially restored the hotel Hilton, which owns the lighthouse and the surrounding area. During active use focal plane BP was 43 ft / 13 m and blinked at an interval of 8 seconds. Because of the fixed nature of the lights of the lighthouse lens was half red and half green to the sailors know they are on port or starboard Carlisle Bay
