Western side of the Harbor Building, as seen from Wilshire and Lorraine boulevards at this time the Swett & Crawford Group had their offices here. Designed by Claude Beelman and built in the late 1950s, this white marble office building, located at 4201 Wilshire Boulevard, originally housed the headquarters for Getty Oil. Prior to the construction of the Harbor Building, the lot had been occupied by an expansive estate, built in 1926 for William Jenkins, which served as the home of aging Hollywood star Norma Desmond in Billy Wilder's film "Sunset Boulevard."
