MacArthur Park, created in the 1880's under the name Westlake Park, was later renamed in honor of General Douglas MacArthur. This picture shows an aerial view across the park towards high rise apartment, hotel and church buildings such as The Park Wilshire, The Arcady and The Town House. The broad street running around the right side of the park is Wilshire Blvd.
