Acropolis of Athens. Parthenon View along the south facade. On the ceiling of the columns of the western facade, you can see the iron brackets installed during the repair of 1896. In the 1990s, this would be a big problem for restorers - the metal brackets corrode and literally tear apart the blocks that they fastened.
