LeidsepleinLeidseplein (“Leiden Square”), together with Dam Square, Rembrandt Square, is one of the most famous squares in Amsterdam, known as a place of entertainment and nightlife in the center of the capital of the Netherlands. Located southwest of the city center, it got its name from Leidsepoort, a huge city gate demolished in 1862 along the road connecting the capital with Leiden.
