Exterior view of Gas & Electric Company building, 15th (Fifteenth) & northwest corner of Champa, Denver, Colorado opened November 10, 1910 with dazzling display of 10,000 light bulbs illuminating building Public Service Company moved to another building in 1962, Gas & Electric building renamed Insurance Exchange building & still lit each evening early automobiles parked at curb, electric sign around perimeters of first floor stating "the Christmas gift will please if it's an electric iron, chafing dish, toaster, coffee percolator or artistic electric stand lamp - looking for a useful Christmas gift? - see our household electrical appliances" "Edelweiss Beer" vertical sign on building across street Christmas trees attached to street lamps, window awnings, street railway tracks brick residence and Colorado Telephone Company sign painted on building, adjacent left to Gas & Electric building.
