Hunt of New York, site was original location of Judge George Gifford Symes' residence who rebuilt in 1906 after original building burned in 1905 1906 building was first building in Denver with steel frame and "Chicago" style design Fontius Shoe store and Syman brothers (Charles S. & Fred F., jewelers and silversmiths) occupy first floor businesses on other floors include Penn Mutual Life, State Life, Travelers Insurance, Chamberlain-Dillingham Ore Company (ore buyers), Northwestern Mutual Life, Fred W. Parks (lawyer), and Colorado National Life Central Business College sign and Essler's dress pleating and button bazaar sign atop roofs several buildings away two early automobiles parked at curb, bicycles and horse-drawn delivery wagons and carrriages, street railway tracks, prominent streetlights and posts, men and women on sidewalk.
