In the center of the memorial there is a sanctuary surrounded by a gallery around the perimeter. The sanctuary contains a marble Stone of Remembrance, on which the phrase “Greater love hath no man” is carved. Once a year, on November 11, at 11 am, a ray of sunlight, passing through a special hole, illuminates the word “Love”.
