Eleventh Ave. (elevated streetbed across the center from the right margin to the left) from West 34th (right) to 37th (left) Streets, as viewed eastward from a point in the New York Central Railroad yards on the west side of the Avenue and on a line with 35th Street, to show the tracks descending from the loop viaduct around the yard, connecting with the trackage in the rock cut coming out from under Eleventh Avenue and the old R.H. Macy warehouse. Shortly after the zero house, Eight A.k., Sunday June 27, 1937, the small bridge carrying Eleventh Avenue over the hole where the tracks pass through, will be lifted out by power cranes, the track cut over and the second major stage of the West Side Inprovement Project put in service. June 25, 1937.
