Santa Barbara Avenue was renamed Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in 1983. From 1981-1999, actress Marla Gibbs operated Marla's Memory Lane at 2323 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, in the former Memory Lane restaurant seen here.
