Looking northeast across Santa Barbara Avenue at 3rd Avenue (right) in Leimert Park. Seen are a Foster and Kleiser billboard for Signal Gas, various businesses (center and right), a chiropractor's office, Memory Lane restaurant (right of center), and streetcar tracks. All of these commercial structures are still standing. Santa Barbara Avenue was renamed Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in 1983. From 1981-1999, actress Marla Gibbs operated Marla's Memory Lane at 2323 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, in the former Memory Lane restaurant seen here. Perhaps the duplicate could not decide whether to ship or not.
